Dennis Honolan is an American attorney and former actor, who is also recognized for being married previously to actress Loretta Swit. Dennis was born on November 7, 1942, in Stamford, Connecticut, where he spent his early years.
Holahan is recognized for being a partner in the Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith law firm. His role in the firm has been specializing in the entertainment, media, and intellectual property cases as well as commercial litigation practice.
Before he joined the law firm in 2014, Dennis was the owner of a top entertainment and business-related litigation boutique in Los Angeles.
Early Life and Education
Holahan was born and raised in Connecticut. He joined Yale where he graduated from in 1965. After college, he served as a Lieutenant officer in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1969. Denis was awarded a Vietnam Service Medal for his services during the years.
Career as an actor
Holahan joined the Hastings College of Law in 1973 before he began acting. While in college, he was the recipient of the hale Moot Court Prize for Best Brief. He was an editor for hastings Law News and went on to open Hastings Child Care Center. He later worked in a litigation firm in San Franciso for two years.
In 1976, Dennis left his law career to try his hand in acting. He appeared in various films including AI Pacino, and Scarface, where he has the role of Jerry Banker. From 1976 to 1992, Dennis featured various roles including in the Vegas Strip Way in 1984.
Despite taking a few years from his law career, he returned in 1992. He launched a law firm, the Law Office of Dennis Holahan, which was based in Los Angeles and specialized in entertainment law. During its active years in Los Angeles, it won various cases, making the law office famous.

Dennis Holahan is a father to two children. He is the father of Nocholas Drew Holahan and Belle Holahan Casares. He welcomed the two children from his first marriage to Wylle O’Hara. A marriage that lasted from 1966 to 1972.
Additionally, he is a grandfather of seven children. Dennis Holahan was also married to actress Loretta Swift. The marriage happened in 1983, but they ended up divorcing in 1995.
